Bus Service update

On July 20, the Councilor for Transport of Ayamonte City Council, Mr. Isaac Maestre, sent us the proposal that DAMAS had made to provide a transport service in Costa Esuri, and whose continuity DAMAS conditioned on the profitability of the service for a period of a 10-day trial.

The proposal was as follows:

DEPARTURES FROM COSTA ESURI FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY: 8:00 AM / 3:30 PM

DEPARTURES FROM AYAMONTE FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY: 7:30 AM / 3:00 PM / 7:30 PM

DEPARTURES FROM COSTA ESURI SATURDAY: 9:30 AM / 2:30 PM

DEPARTURES FROM AYAMONTE SATURDAY: 9:00 AM / 2:00 PM

The Committee considered that these hours were not sufficient and were not adequate to the needs of the residents of Costa Esuri, requesting that this proposal be reconsidered.

After this, Mr. Maestre called us to a meeting that was held last Monday, July 27, and attended by several members of the committee.

Mr. Maestre informed us that the purpose of this meeting was to tell us that the next day, Tuesday, July 28, a meeting would be held with the Costa de Huelva Transport Consortium and that, although it did not appear in the Order of the Day, he would bring up the subject of the bus service in Costa Esuri at the point of Various Affairs.

As of today, July 31, we have had no news from Mr. Maestre.

In the course of our meeting, a collection of signatures was proposed to find out who would use the bus, as well as implementing a telephone service so that the neighbours could call and request a bus for a specific date and time.

These proposals are yet to be implemented.
