Covid in Ayamonte

THE MAYOR OF AYAMONTE REQUESTS MASSIVE TESTS OF THE POPULATION AND THE COLLABORATION OF THE ARMY TO STOP COVID-19 CONTAGION IN THE MUNICIPALITY

 

In view of the growing number of infections by covid-19 in the municipality in the last week, (sixty cases) the mayor of Ayamonte, Natalia Santos, has asked the Territorial Delegation of Health and Families in Huelva, to carry out massive tests to the population.

The first councilor has announced that “from the City Council we have also requested the Sub-delegation of the Government in Huelva, the transfer of Army troops to carry out intense disinfection tasks that help stop the evolution of the virus in our municipality ”.

The mayor has appealed once again to the individual responsibility of citizens, reminding them of “the need to maximize safety and hygiene measures  to stop the spread of the virus in Ayamonte” .

    1. Yes it is! Work is currently underway fitting out one of the ground floor units in the commercial centre. We also expect to see a pharmacy and a restaurant/bar soon also. Exciting times!

  1. It would be helpful if we could receive up-to-date information on the Virus and Vaccine progress in Ayamonte from Cera – at the moment our only information comes via Michael Halligan’s ‘infoayamonte’ website.

    1. Hi thanks for your comment, I think it would be difficult to find a better source of information regarding COVID-19 than infoayamonte, certainly for English speakers.I don’t think CERA could improve on Michael’s efforts.
      For anyone who has yet to visit, there is a link below.
      One further source of information I use Is the town hall Facebook page which gives the incidence rate for Ayamonte, no mention of vaccine timetables though.
